MinterEllison is one of the Asia Pacific's leading law firms. Established in Sydney in 1827, our firm today operates in Australia, Hong Kong, mainland China, Mongolia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom through a network of integrated offices and associated offices.
Our Technology and IP team
Our Technology and IP team (which sits within the Commercial and Regulatory group) does a wide range of interesting – and often cutting-edge – work, including large-scale technology outsourcing and procurement, whole-of enterprise telecommunications procurement, IP commercialisation and licensing, privacy and data security, regulatory issues in the technology space, and copyright, trade mark and other IP advisory work, acting for vendors and purchasers, for government, and for private sector clients across almost every industry.
Our partners are consistently rated among the leaders in their respective fields. As one of the largest ICT and regulatory practices in the Asia-Pacific region, we have advised on some of the largest and most complex ICT projects in the region, and have the capacity to fully understand the relevance of local and overseas developments and issues. We advise clients operating in the region on cross-jurisdictional ICT, privacy and regulatory law issues, working seamlessly with Minter Ellison Rudd Watts in New Zealand on trans-Tasman matters.
We have also recently acquired a technology consulting firm – ITNewcom – and our lawyers work seamlessly with ITNewcom's consultants to provide end-to-end legal and commercial advisory services on some of the most high profile and mission critical technology matters in the Asia-Pacific region.
