|Position Title:||Senior Health and Safety Advisor- Construction and Maintenance|
|Salary Range:||$98,744 - $105,304 (G08)|
|Description:||Apply your strong construction and maintenance experience in health and safety at Curtin University.
As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for the implementation and evaluation of safety and health initiatives and risk management strategies. You will provide professional advice and support to managers, staff, health and safety representatives and students on safety related matters, champion health and safety and ensure communication and consultation processes are effective.
Your role will involve contractor management, workplace inspections and audits, managing workplace hazards, reviewing and assisting with the development of risk assessments, and incident reporting and investigation. You will also take a hands-on approach in promoting quality health and safety practices in line with University and regulatory requirements.
You will have a post graduate qualification or progress towards one and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. A strong working-knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, safety issue resolution processes and risk management principles is essential. Strong proven experience in the construction industry and contractor management, safety resolution and risk management principles will be highly regarded. A high level of interpersonal communication skills with the ability to consult and the ability to construct professional reports and other relevant documentation is required.
