The Position… is responsible for identifying, managing and implementing a range of projects and improvement initiatives across City Of Melbourne’s Corporate Affairs and Strategic Marketing (CASM) branch to improve business processes and the customer experience. This position is also required to assist the branch to meet all corporate requirements including the annual planning and budgeting process and corporate reporting requirements.

This role will require a highly organized, independent, skilled communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and end-to-end project management experience. We are looking for a team player with demonstrated customer service experience, who is committed to excellence and continuous improvement. The successful applicant will utilise their project management and research skills to deliver projects aligned with Council’s four-year plan and annual key strategic activities.

You will have…(selection criteria)

  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others and striving for excellence to contribute to a positive team and organisational culture and environment
  • Qualifications in Project Management or proven experience in project delivery
  • Proven experience in the application of a variety of continuous improvement methodologies and delivery of business improvement
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff across all levels of the organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel, experience in TechOne and Pathway systems is preferred.
  • Highly developed customer service skills, demonstrated ability to be professional, discrete, courteous and maintain confidentiality and proven ability to work in a team environment.
