Your role in the future:
As the Project Director, Business Segment you will be accountable for running the governance and program management for our new commercial unit - the Business Segment.
You can contribute to:
- Establishing the Business Segment program office and regular reporting framework including collation of key metrics and project milestone updates. Ensuring the business segment teams apply best practice in project, product, and programme management and is aligned with nbn wide programs.
- Documenting and presenting Business Segment program updates to Executive Steering groups. Tracking project updates from the Project Managers and General Managers.
- Triggering timely remedial action to bring projects back on track and secure or enhance planned outcomes.
- Holding team members accountable for their performance in conjunction with General Managers of each work stream.
- Leading a cross-functional team of project managers and driving effective project management behaviours through this team.

A bit about you:
To be successful in this role you will have experience developing and presenting program updates to C-level audiences as well as articulating and obtaining buy in from executives to support and fund requirements that will enable success of the initiatives. Your deep understanding of project management concepts, tools and significant experience in managing multiple complex projects and business improvement programs, ideally gained with large service providers in the telecommunications sector will ensure your success. You will have demonstrable experience coaching staff and stakeholders to high performance. You'll have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to be able to effectively communicate across multiple organisational levels and departments. You will be able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of customers and generate high levels of staff engagement. Your ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, delivery partners, end-users and other parts of the business will be an added asset to the company. You will also be resilient and tenacious with a propensity to perceive.
