About the role
We are currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our Select Plant Hire national head office, based at Stapylton, QLD (South of Brisbane).
Reporting to our General Manager – Select Plant Hire, you will help grow and develop a sustainable Crane business within the Construction and Material Handling Sector.
You will oversee Procurement for Select Plant Hire nationally. You may occasionally be required to work from our Brisbane office, and travel to support our national business.

You will develop and implement sourcing strategies, negotiate and manage preferred supplier agreements, assist with the pricing of plant for Tenders, lead the procurement of new plant and equipment (inception to delivery), and annually review price book rates and prices.
You will work with Select Plant Hire Leaders to standardise OEM’s across Product Categories, standardise terms and conditions and supplier pricing structures, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
As an expert in your field, you will research and propose new methods of procurement, and research specified markets.
You will identify key stakeholders and manage relationships, and work with the HSE team to implement leading safety initiatives, in-line with our Next Gear Safety model.
You will have
Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, with excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
You will bring strong commercial acumen, and skills/knowledge of procurement practices and processes, tendering, negotiations and contract management, backed by relevant Tertiary Qualifications.
You will draw on your high-level interpersonal and relationship-building skills to build relationships with stakeholders and the supply chain, and will excel in working both autonomously and as part of a team.
