Your role in the future:
As Performance Reporting and Development Manager, you will be responsible for providing end to end report development expertise within the Portfolio Management Centre. This includes progressing identified and approved business and process improvements.
The role exists to oversee the end to end reporting life cycle and assist in the activities that will facilitate in the automation of all reports into a "no-touch" end state. The incumbent must be able to comprehend complex business requirements and issues and articulate this into requirements that will aid in the development of insightful reports that can be easily understood and will also be accountable for continual delivery of consistent, timely, clear, concise and accurate reports to various stakeholders including executive level and the wider nbn teams.
Initially, you will be managing a team of 1 on-shore & 8 off-shore resources that is set to expand to 14 off-shore resources, they will work with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Writers, and Data Analysts to deliver all required documentation and reporting to support the rollout of the NBN Co network.
This role will also work to ensure that process changes are effectively captured and managed, and drive continuous improvement across NBN Co.
You can contribute to:
- Utilisation of onshore / offshore resources to facilitate new data sourcing processes and cadence, scope definition, version release and progress updates
- Analysing current practices and analytics to identify process optimisation opportunities
- Driving selected and prioritised improvement initiatives implementation in process design and optimisation
- Leading and manage staff (onshore & offshore), including performance, leadership and development performance, in accordance with nbn policies and procedures.
- Set standards, requirements, frameworks and guiding principles to NPD performance reporting leads and provide and support as required

A bit about you:
You will have proven experience in process design, analysis, optimisation and development experience in a performance reporting environment, ideally within telecommunication infrastructure projects or similar complex environments.
You will have had exposure to a project management environment and understanding of project management principles with particular emphasis on Agile project methodologies, be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with metrics and process enforcement/compliance and have a detailed knowledge of Excel and analytics tools.
Previously leadership experience is essential, including the management of offshore teams to an agreed outcome and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams, aiding stakeholders to solve complex business problems.
