As a member of the Human Resources and Industrial Relations team at MinterEllison you'll be working with major multi-national, regional and local companies as well as government organisations and state-owned entities. These clients trust us with their biggest and most complex deals that span jurisdictions. You'll be part of a team, collaborating across practice areas and across offices and working with partners who are recognised as leaders in their fields.
A great opportunity currently exists for a full-time career paralegal to join us in our corporate immigration team.
In this role you will work closely with other members of our immigration team to help manage transactional immigration files. The work will primarily involve assisting blue-chip corporate clients and their employees with employer-sponsored visa applications, but we also assist our clients with a range of other visas.
You will receive a high level of mentoring and support from the team and the broader Human Resources & Industrial Relations practice.
What you need

- A law degree (desirable but not essential)
- Registered Migration Agent status (desirable but not essential)
- Strong drafting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal

- Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to work

- A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts

An understanding of Australia's visa system is also desirable but not essential
