Our Client & Market Growth team

Our national Client & Market Growth team at MinterEllison is a high performing and critical component of the firm and essential to the firm's success.  The team supports the partnership by providing the full spectrum of business development and marketing services to ensure the firm develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients.

The position focuses on providing proactive business development support and advice to our North Asian team.

Your role

The role will have business development, marketing and account management functions. The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Preparing proposals, credential documents and tenders for North Asian and various international clients and opportunities
  • Preparation and updating of key North Asian marketing materials including brochures and capability statements (and preparation of bi-lingual versions where possible)
  • Meeting administration including the preparation of agendas and minutes and meeting materials
  • Maintenance of marketing platforms including but not limited to WeChat, LinkedIn and Quad
  • Financial and matter management for to enable efficient tracking of revenue inflows from our North Asian and other international clients into the firm
  • Preparing, planning, managing and executing events that fall within the North Asian portfolio
  • Manage, monitor  and review key memberships and sponsorships within the North Asian group to ensure we are appropriately leveraging benefits associated with each
  • Preparation of client account plans and sector plans and execute Client Service Team (CST) meetings as required including the administration of the CSTs
  • Measure, report and assess the effectiveness of initiatives to enable continuous improvement into future activities
  • Contribute towards researching and interpreting market intelligence and identifying key opportunities
  • Assist in general administration related to business development and marketing including liaising with clients, tracking BD activities and updating records within our CRM database
  • Any other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 

The role will have business development, marketing and account management functions. The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualifications in business / commerce
  • Previous business development experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Good financial acumen (i.e. Budgets and reporting)
  • Experience in managing and executing key client accounts and CSTs
  • Prepare proposals, credential documents and tenders for North Asian clients and opportunities
  • Highly developed intepersonal, communication and influencing skills, including excellent attention to detail
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external clients.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Capability in both strategic thinking and implementation
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills
  • Experience with, or an understanding of, North Asian and international markets would be highly regarded.
