Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Forecasting Analyst to join the team.

In this role you will support the Manager - Balance Sheet Forecasting to maintain, develop and run the Bank's Net Interest Income & Balance Sheet Forecasting Models, primarily in QRM, as well as reporting and analysing the results for Management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide reporting and analysis on NIM & NII, including variances to budgets, forecast and period movements for EXCO & ALCO reporting
  • Implementing new developments in QRM and associated models
  • Ad hoc Financial modelling and analysis

 

About you?

To be successful in this role you will have the below skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Training or a background in finance or accounting is required
  • Good attention to detail and work disciplines
  • Critically analysing processes and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Able to understand and resolve complex issues.
  • Critically analysing processes and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Intermediate level of spread sheeting and financial modelling ability
  • General understanding of financial products and finance concepts
  • General understanding of balance sheet and accounting principles
  • Previous experience in a finance or banking analytical role
  • Experience in Banking especially Non-Trade Market risk role would be ideal
  • Professional qualifications in CPA, CA or CFA would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of TM1, VBA, SQL or QRM would be advantageous
