The Role

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Newcastle based team to deliver a major local project which is transforming the future of the Hunter region. This role will give you the opportunity to connect with a large technical team comprised of a diverse range of disciplines, solving complex technical challenges.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating the electrical services design aspects with the building services, architecture and structural design.

  • Delivery of the electrical scope, in adherence to project quality systems, program and budgets.

  • Undertaking site inspections and preparing memoranda of inspection.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines, clients and contractors.

About You

You will have a strong technical background and your attention to detail, ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively will help you to work with the broader team to deliver the right solution, on time, every time.

You will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience delivering electrical services design including lighting, general and specialist power, generators, UPS systems, earthing / lightning protection, power distribution and reticulation

  • Sound knowledge of electrical wiring rules

  • The ability to coordinate and liaise effectively with clients and contractors, and experience of construction phase assistance and inspections

  • A high level of client focus
