Role and responsibilities:

  • Must be an Australian Citizen due to nature of work and ability to gain a security clearance.

  • Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to 2nd/3rd level Service Desk requests relating to data integrity to meet contracted KPI targets.

  • Takes responsibility for identifying anomalies within the subsequent data checker results.

  • Determine whether a root cause has already been identified for a given Data Checker anomaly, and whether a correction strategy has been devised.

  • Investigate into and the identification of the root cause of Data Checker anomalies.

  • Work proactively with the client to devise new data correction strategies for identified data anomalies and the development of new/enhanced data correction scripts.

  • Maintain existing data checkers plus provide analysis, design and implementation of enhancements of data checkers that maybe required.

  • The development of new data checkers to approved application development processes and procedures.

  • Complies with Configuration Management procedures.

  • Performs updates of operational and system support documentation.

  • Assists in monitoring, maintenance and reporting on the integrity of operational and support databases.

  • Supports and performs processes that provide quality assurance.

Client Focus

  • Maintains relationships with clients.

  • Has ownership for resolving client issues related to team deliverables and managing client expectations in relation to this.

  • Formulates and helps present business case details.

Required Skills

  • Experience in Data Quality, root cause analysis, and data management.

  • Experience in relational databases, preferably with Ingres, in a Unix based client server environment.

  • Knowledge and ability to write SQL queries to create, update, report or delete data from databases.

  • Experience working in a Unix and PC, network environment (particularly Sun/Solaris on Sparc and Intel, NT and TCP/IP).

  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle

  • Knowledge of Client Server systems.
