Your role in the future:
This is a 12-Month Max Term Contract
As a Data Insights and Reporting Analyst, your primary responsibility will be providing strong support to the Capacity Management team to ensure that the team are equipped with the right levels of appointment capacity to successfully deliver appointment availability that meets Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets. With a strong root cause analysis mindset, you will provide support with the Short/Long Term Capacity Management Planning team to allow for constructive conversations to be held with the planning team, backed up with essential data analysis. You will also be required to create necessary reports which will be used by Executives in their meetings.
You can contribute to:
- Applying expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualisation to tell the story behind the numbers and derive actionable insights for continuous improvements
- Working with the Capacity Planning team to provide historical data and operational insights in order to carry out "actuals vs forecasted volumes" prior to the publication of the forecast
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on calendar breaches will be an ongoing activity ensuring the "required smarts" are in place to drive improvements
- RCA of any demand to capacity gaps, identification and provide feedback to Contractor Management
- Utilising spreadsheets and pivot tables to draw, analyse and report capacity data
- Preparing slide packs which includes key findings and analysis with the right level of commentary to be presented at an Executive level
- Collating, analysing and assessing data sources to provide weekly and monthly findings on capacity responses

A bit about you:
You will have proven analysis and reporting experience within large, complex, big data environments with the ability to think and act strategically. The ability to translate large volumes of data into logical and easy to understand outputs will be crucial to this role. An eye for detail will help you thrive in this role as you will be able to identify data integrity issues from the beginning. As a critical thinker, you are able to look at numbers, trends and data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvements.
You will be a motivated individual who is adaptable, driven and agile. You will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and experience with Tableau, SQL, VBA or Alteryx would be preferred. Telecommunications or Utilities experience would be highly beneficial but not essential.
You should also be comfortable with change - nbn is a fast-moving organisation with a lot of change and new challenges every day. We think it's great, but understand it's not for everyone.
