Job Overview/Purpose
Regulatory Reporting – Responsible for the preparation and review of a number of external regulatory returns for the Rabobank entities in Australia – Rabobank Australia Group (RAG).

This includes assisting the Senior Manager and Senior Accountant with the annual update and review of all regulatory frameworks and policies (e.g. Pillar III Disclosures) maintained by the regulatory reporting team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Assist the Senior Manager – Regulatory Reporting and is responsible and accountable for:
• Production of Australian regulatory returns to APRA and other Australian regulatory authorities in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensuring these returns are lodged on a timely and accurate basis.
• Ensure all working files are fully supported with clear audit trails supporting each return with proper sign off by preparer and reviewer.
• Production of analytical reviews and commentary for the RAG regulatory reports to ensure all significant movements are fully explained for all returns. This includes:
o Good business partnering with business to ensure that reasons behind movements are fully explained; and
o All queries/issues from the stakeholders (either internal or external) are given the highest priority and resolved in a timely manner
• Update procedures documents and manuals for all regulatory reports/returns.
• Implement improvements of procedures to enhance efficiencies for the preparation of returns.
• Review and maintain the appropriate documentation of various mapping tables used for reporting, and management of mapping table changes due to projects.    
• Ensure monitoring of regulatory limits is completed in an effective manner, and if required, provide warnings in advance for remediation actions before any breach occurs.
• Production of any other ad-hoc report as required by management, including but not limited to the regulatory requirements and frameworks in relation to the monthly capital adequacy report, etc.
• Production of quarterly, half-yearly and annual Pillar 3 disclosures. Ensure that the preparation is completed within the set deadlines and in accordance with approved Policies and Procedures.
• Data Quality - Ensure all data quality matters identified are followed up and cleared (if possible) before next month end to avoid manual adjustments. This includes the proactive assistance in developing efficient database for reporting and analysis.
• Assist the Senior Manager in preparing and providing a summary of the impact on the latest regulatory changes (including changes in reporting standards and regulations). Ensure changes in reporting standards and regulations are correctly interpreted and implement changes to ensure it is correctly applied in the reports.
• Manage and implement process changes for system changes to ensure source-systems data used for completion of returns is complete and accurate.
• Provide assistance to the CFO Office on projects or other ad-hoc work, as directed.

Job Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of banking products and finance industry.
• Prior Regulatory Reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, IFRS and APRA standards, guidelines and requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem solving / analytical and decision making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Minimum of 2 years financial markets experience preferable in banking/finance industry.
• Strong analytical skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Advanced/strong Excel spreadsheet, MS Access and Business Object skills;
• Well-developed problem solving skills
• Degree qualification essential – in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline
• CPA or CA qualified or part-qualified
• Minimum of 2 years financial markets experience preferable in banking/finance industry.
• Experienced in the preparation of Australian regulatory returns for a locally incorporated financial institution.
